Fishermen and supporters are out in force over what they see as ‘betrayal’ of their industry

Boats of all shapes and sizes were out in force in the waters off Hastings on Sunday as local fishermen joined a national day of protest over the transition arrangements the UK government has negotiated with the EU as part of the Brexit deal

Local fishermen fear the deal could spell the end for the UK fishing industry as a whole and signed up to take part in the Fishing For Leave day of action which saw protests, similar to the one in Hastings, take part from Newcastle in the North to Hastings and Portsmouth on the south coast.
