Hastings has a new mayor

Meet the new mayor of Hastings, he’s Nigel Sinden and represents the Silverhill ward on Hastings Borough Council, he takes over from Judy Rogers.

His deputy will be Old Hastings councillor James Bacon.

Both men were elected to their positions at tonight’s first meeting of the new Hastings Borough Council which was elected on May 3. The new council comprises 24 Labour members and eight Conservatives.
