Chopbacks plan summer tour in preparation for new season

Hastings newest senior football team is planning a pre-season tour.

After their successful debut season South Coast Athletico is heading to Essex in August for the first of what team boss Neil Sutcliffe hopes will be a number of pre-season matches to get his squad match fit for its 2018/19 campaign.

The Chopbacks will be facing the relatively newly formed Ramsey Mill Football Ramsey-Mill-300x300Club from the Essex & Borders Division 3 on August 18.

The club will be based in the little town of Harwich, famous for one of the busiest ferry ports in the country where the squad will no doubt be sampling some of the nightlife while in the area.

The tour is just one of the many ways the club wants to keep with its tradition of doing things ‘a little bit differently’ to other amateur teams, says Neil.

Match details will follow nearer the time with venue and kick-off times.
